Comrades,
A Special Meeting of Members has been called by the National Executive Officers in accordance with Rule 20 for Tuesday 27 May 2014 to be held in conjunction with the monthly Branch meetings. The business of the Special Meeting will be to:
Seek endorsement of the changes to the MUA rules as approved by the National Council on 9 May 2014.
The Branch Monthly meeting will also contain a broader report arising from the National Council of 9-11 May 2014.
All Branches will need to ensure a Notice to this effect is published in your local newspaper by 21 May 2014. The National Office will draft the Newspaper advertisements of which you will need to tailor to your specific circumstances. Each branch needs to confirm with Senior National Legal Officer Kristian Bolwell that the newspaper advertisements have been placed by Tuesday 20 May 2014.
In accordance with rule 21, branches will need to meet a quorum to endorse to Rule changes as follows:
