Vote no to the AMMA 3 EBA

Would you trade you job for a cup of coffee?

The AMMA 3 – Swires, Maersk and Mermaid Marine – sent an EBA to offshore workers on January 22 which seeks to axe many conditions currently accepted in the industry. They have also refused to agree to the broad sweep of critical job security claims that will cement Australian jobs in the Australian offshore oil and gas industry.

In return the companies are offering a daily pay increase which equates to the cost of a cup of coffee.

The Maritime Union of Australia and the two other marine unions, AIMPE and AMOU, are encouraging members vote down the agreement and send a message to the AMMA 3 that trading off job security and hard-earned conditions is not acceptable.
