Striking wharfies seek improved safety, Geelong Advertiser

UP to 50 Geelong wharfies staged a 24-hour strike yesterday as part of an industrial campaign for more permanency and safer working conditions, the Geelong Advertiser reports

The union representing workers at Patrick Bulk and General's Geelong cargo facilities claim the company's current operating practices are putting lives at risk.
