A successful Delegates 1 course was held at MUA training school at St Georges Basin this week. A mixture of seafarers, wharfies, ferry workers attended the course, which was held at the MUA's legendary training school St Georges Basin, on the south coast of NSW.

"What an awesome experience, to be able to learn more about our union with like minded industry people in a fantastic setting. The knowledge & know how of our trainers is mind blowing. Every member should attend." said one member who attended the course from Sydney Ferries.

The three day Delegates 1 course covers the essential knowledge and skills for members to get more active and involved in their union. It was presented by MUA Trainers Kieran Crumlin, Matt Goodwin, Stuart Holt, with MUA veteran Jimmy Donovan.

We are proud to report the school is getting plenty of use under the union's expanded delegate training program. 10 courses have been held at the basin in the last 12 months.
