The Western Australia Branch of the Maritime Union of Australia Division (MUA) of the Construction Forestry Maritime Mining and Energy Union (CFMMEU) are seeking an experienced, resourceful, and professional Office Manager with a strong work ethic to join our team, located in North Fremantle.
You will provide the technical and management oversight to a variety of administrative capabilities; supporting the WA Branch Secretary and Executive leadership team, you will be integral to the effectiveness and support of Branch activities, proactively managing the administrative team and day-to-day office priorities and commitments.

About Your role
Providing functional Executive support to the WA Branch Secretary
Key support to 3 x WA Branch Senior Officials
Managing a team of 4 Admin Staff who provide support across the Branch, including to 5 Organisers and 3 Legal Officers
Develop and maintain efficient office administration systems and standards, with a strong focus on workplace efficiency, value add and continuous improvement
Booking extensive regional, domestic, and international travel and accommodation (including relevant visas as required) for WA Branch Officials and Organisers, as well as managing and coordinating large delegate group bookings to attend various conferences
Provide support for campaigns & projects
Organise and plan both small and large-scale Branch events, inclusive of AGM’s, training, conferences, May Day, and all other social events as required, including liaising with sponsors, and managing the event budgets.
About you

At least 5 years of experience in a Manager / Executive Assistant role

Highly organised with a pragmatic approach to problem solving

High degree of integrity and discretion in dealing with confidential information

Leadership level motivation and initiative with excellent attention to detail

Effective time-manager with the ability to prioritise tasks and adapt to dynamic environment

Ability to handle multiple tasks and duties simultaneously

Excellent standard of verbal and written communication

Creative flair for design ideas and social media content

Advanced skills in Microsoft Office 365, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook

A strong understanding and experience utilising Facebook and Meta Business Suite and graphic design software

Demonstrate a commitment to social justice issues and union values, with an extreme passion for improving the industrial rights of workers
