The ITF has made ending violence against women a centrepiece of its congress.
Approximately 1400 male Congress participants took an oath to pledge an end to violence against women led by Mick Doleman, MUA Deputy National Secretary.

Mick dedicated his pledge to Jenny Dowell National Secretary, Food and Confectionery Division Australian Manufacturing Workers Union.
Jenny was killed by her partner in October 2013.
