The union has been in dialogue since early this year with Caltex since the company removed the Hugli Spirit tanker from the coast.
The MUA wrote to Caltex in March (see here) proposing that Caltex maitain two tankers on the coast.
As a result of rumours about the Alexander Spirit the crew sent this email to Teekay, included in that document is Caltex's response.
Yesterday, Assistant National Secretary Warren Smith again wrote to Caltex asking a number of questions about their near future trade (see here).
