Bushfire Assistance – Immediate Federal Payments

There are two types of immediate payments available from the Australian Government for people who have been seriously affected by bushfires.

Disaster Recovery Payment

If your home has been destroyed, is uninhabitable, smoke damaged or contaminated by sewerage click here for information about what you can receive and how to claim.

Disaster Recovery Allowance

If your employment has been affected by the bushfire crisis and you are unable to work click here for information about what you can receive and how to claim.
