Due to the anticipated high demand and limited availability of all of the above courses AMSA recommends that seafarers undertake the necessary training at the earliest opportunity to revalidate their certificate before 31 December 2016.
STCW Certificate of Competency Courses, Proficiency as Integrated Rating & Certificate as Rating
Below is a downloadable document with the current AMSA approved courses available to Deck Officers, Engineer Officers and Ratings wishing to qualify for an AMSA certificate in accordance with the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers 1978, as amended, (STCW).
To qualify for a STCW certificate applicants are to satisfactorily complete the relevant course below and are also required to complete additional STCW short courses, comply with qualifying sea service and medical fitness requirements and pass an AMSA oral examination.
