Dave Muir, MUA wins Stand Up Paddle Surfing

Dave Muir, WA seafarer and MUA member employed for Offshore Marine Services has won the  Sapinus Pro - Tahiti event.

The Starboard team rider was proudly sponsored by his local MUA branch.

The 39 year old beat Hawaii's Aaron Napoleon and Tama Audibert to take out first place in the surfing comp on May 29.

"Tahiti is mind blowing, the place is so beautiful," Dave said in an earlier Tahiti comp. "My first surf at "Chopes" I actually went right. Amongst the closeouts there were still some sick ones to be had".

Dave reportedly has quite the reputation around Western Australia for his madman antics in waves of consequence.
